Tiananmen survivors, members of the Chinese community and Amnesty UK Director Kate Allen are at the Chinese Embassy in London to lay flowers of remembrance for those who lost their lives during the Tiananmen crackdown on pro-democracy protestors. http://www.protectthehuman.com/china
Funny how there are more middle-class white english liberals there than actual Chinese. Compare and contrast with the thousands of educated, informed and PATRIOTIC chinese who came to show their pride in their nation and society at the Olympic torch relay.
The contrast speak volumes about the lie told about Tiannmen and China.

From the party's point of view executing protesters wasn't a mistake.
It contributed to the population's fear of being brutally repressed for thinking for themselves and speaking against their lack of basic human rights.
Which was just what they were aiming for.
