@bobbytiger I, too, was a regular at the Hayloft on L in DC, and frequently caught Phil Flowers. Too bad all those clubs, like Rands around the corner had to close. DC was a different place back then. Thanks for your comments!
Back in the 60's, we use to go the "Hayloft" in DC to see Phil Flowers backed up by T & T Trebel. We would hit all the clubs around 14th Street, but always spent the most time listening to his music. He sure packed um in the club.
Although I still live in Arlington, VA, (across the Potomac from DC), the clubs are all long gone, and his music will never be replaced.
No way! . . . I First heard this on The Robbie Vincent show, what a soul show that was, brings back memories I forgot I forgot or something like that.
a Nice Groove

I also partied at the "Hayloft". Rember Phil mostly from Rands. Tiger did you ever visit "The Birdland" at Park Road and "The Spa" at T street?

Many thanks for posting this. I heard this in 1986 on The Robbie Vincent show and missed who sang it. A 24 year soul search !!!!
