ok do most of your guard wear the full suits or shorties

@doug747pilots I would say it's probably a 50/50 mix between the full suits and the shorties. In 2007 we had one guy wear a full RCMP dry suit. Search for Rockstar Lifeguards Act I.

@doug747pilots We actually did our training in May before the park opened to the public. The pool gets it's water from lake Ontario so that time of year the water is actually still pretty cold, that why we wear the wetsuits - to stay warm.

would love to see a video about lifeguard salary in canada (26$/hr) VS lifeguard salary in the US (7-10$/hr) !!!!

@alitou001 We never made close to that amount working there, the most I ever made was $10.00 an hour which is less than minimum wage now. True, City of Hamilton lifeguards make more now, but the water park is not run by the city, it's run by the HCA. As for American lifeguards the real money is made in California where 12 of 14 full time lifeguards in New Port Beach brought in over a $120,000 per year. I think that's around $57.69 per hour for 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year
