Bronx Community College and York College NSF funded Pathways to Earth Science Education (PESE) Grant engaged HS teachers in the challenges faced at the Gowanus Canal Superfund site in Brooklyn. The teachers were given a canoe tour of the canal by Mr Ludger Balan and the Urban Divers Estuary Conservancy (UDEC).
