Brilliant Video Friend!
My favorite Vehicle as a kid is hard to choose but I would have to say my favorite is the Slave 1
Thanks from Canada mate...Your videos have helped me reconnect with my first love..thank you!

you asked favorite fighter, I think favorite fighter would be the A wing, I think thats the name, it was cool because the pilot during the battle of endor went kamakazi on the big star destroyer and took out the giant ship. I think all time favorite ship would be the slave 1.

My favorite was the B-Wing fighter. I dunno, it was just weird.

You're right, as well as modified the Millennium Falcon and AT-AT, they should have done with the Y-wing. With improvements such as pilot and copilot in the cockpit and front with laser cannons and missiles and new ion cannon. It would have been an excellent decision that's too bad that Hasbro did not. Your friend from Mexico Mario.

FYI: The paint scheme of the 2011 TRU Exclusive Y-wing is based on the original Episode IV film models. Because of poor visibility of the models, due to the blue-screen special effects, the Blue Squadron X-wings and Red Squadron Y-wings were changed to Red Squadron and Gold Squadron respectively.
BTW, my Y-wing came with clear rubber bands running along the support pylons, connected to the Disk Vectrals and the Exhaust Nacelles. Is yours like this and if so, should I leave them on?

Great review, much more detailed than others I've seen so far. As my fave OT starfighter, the BTL-A4 Y-wing has been mine for the past 14 years, since being the first (of many) of Galoob's Action Fleet, Star Wars vehicles I've bought.
Anyway, right outta the box, the rear landing gear couldn't support my Y-wing's butt. I had to attach the twin Ion cannon to the turret and some yahoo in the factory smudged a bit of the red paint off, but I still love my Y-wing!

Wow, I'm long-winded today! Anywho, I really hope this is the last time Hasbro uses this particular vehicle mold. When I first heard of a new Y-wing for 2011, I was expecting a brand new, true-to-scale, 2-seat BTL-S3 variant with removeable armoured hull and twin, forward-firing, Proton torpedo launchers under the cockpit module. Only in my dreams, I guess...

@New1Superion2 HI, it would be good if Hasbro would do this for us collectors, the Y-wing has been my favorite Star Wars fighter. They should also improve the TIe fighter as well and get those wing sizes done right.

Thank you for doing what no other director that did a review of this ship did and that was show it to us from all angles out of the box and even more appreciative that you did a side by side comparison with the. 30th anniversary version to show the differences. I really wish more directors would do this with the latest models and the previous releases to show what changes were made. You did it excellently and thanks again.
