Please READ, Im sure I have your answer here :):
-This video was recorded January 6th
-My hair is freshly washed, deep conditioned & moisturize. I make sure my hair is in tip top shape before I braid so that I am not left with SUPER dry and brittle hair when I take the braids out.
-All I used on my hair to braid is my shea butter mix. No gel/no other products as I try to avoid buildup
-I only used 2 and a half packs of hair
-I used regular 100% Kanekalon Hair
-I don't add a lot of hair when I braid because I do not want the hair to be heavy. Also, I don't want to add to much stress to my strands, especially around the edges. This is meant to be a protective style, not a destructive style :)
- I will upload a different video to how you guys HOW to braid. For now, this is just showing you the method I use to braid my hair
-I prefer clean, NEAT parts because I oil my scalp and it is easier for me to do so if my parts are in order (and also because i am OBSESSED with neat parting).
-I wanted a more DRAMATIC effect with the colours. But my hair is grown and it is nearly as long as the extensions. As a result, the orange didn't POP as much as I wanted it too because my hair is obviously black and tamed down the colour.
-I always start in the back and work my way up. When I am done with the back, I do the sides and then the front.

-Hope y'all enjoy!

  • wow..that only took you 6 hours. It takes me 8 or 9 hours and I never finish the middle (typically Lazy) I love that color and it looks to me like you didn't use that much hair. Next time I braid my hair I going to do it your size. You hair is too cute.

  • @Lavender737 Oh trust me, I know all about lazy! It can take me DAYS to do it but the only reason why I finished so fast this time around is because I had somewhere important to go and I didn't want to look crazy! lol I didn't use that much hair, about 2 and a half packs. I don't like when it is too bulky and heavy :x. I also braid a little bigger in the middle and smaller around the edges, so that saves time :)

  • I love it ...You can braid really well...luv the color in da back...and the fact you like them lite n not heavily layered ...Looks Nice on YOU

  • @Livin4Christ83 Thank you :)

  • Oh my gosh, it only took you six hours to do this?! They look great! I would have been working on my hair for at least two days, I'm a slow braider. :(

  • @omg8o thanks!. I braid pretty fast. I got enough practice lol.

  • @jkslawson10 Thanks :)

  • @dancingraindrop94 No, I don't have problem blending and that is merely because my hair is also as long as the extension hair. The only tip I can suggest is to do small sections so that similar lengths of hair are being braided with each other and use a little more extension hair per braid.

  • @Lacehairwigs Thanks! I have been doing my hair for a long time now. As long as I am not distracted, it goes by fast

  • @LavenderScented I usually leave them in for a month, although they can last longer. However, I don't like to leave them in for too long because I start to MISS my hair like crazy AND I don't want experience any breakage/buildup
