This is a clip from "The Byrds of Paradise" series back in 1995. Arlo played "Alan Moon." Cyril Pahinui is playing guitar with him., Tim Busfield played Professor Byrd. This was the last episode. Sadly, it was canceled. Arlo closed with this beautiful song that he composed for the show.

This song is on his CD titled "Mystic Journey." One of my favorites.

  • This was one of my all time favorite series. Arlo was in a handful of episodes as kind of a comic relief character, but this scene--the last of the series and one of the most beautiful and powerful--is one of my favorites of any TV show.

  • That brought tears to my eyes!

  • This blew me away the night it was aired. Took a long time to find it; still one my top "greatest songs you never heard" list. Love playing it for those who have never heard it.

  • Love this man more than words can say.

  • This is one of my favorite shows of all time. Arlo and his music really added a lot of character to the show, and also helped introduce Hawaiian slack key music and the great Cyril Pahinui to a larger audience.

  • His Daddy has to be proud.

  • Such a good song. Arlo's music always makes me happy and has a special place in my heart. Thanks so much

  • This is a great song.... peaceful, at that means everything. Peace on earth.

  • Jackie, thank you for posting this. Arlo - this song still brings tears to my eyes, I cherish the memories I have of working with you on Byrds. We even ate lunch together a few times - those are memories that are dear to my heart. This was a great show and I am still sad that we didn't get picked up for a second season.

    Warm wishes,

    Jess (Jessica Brown (SAG name)

    now - Julie Collins

  • You're not the only one...

  • I'm gonna hunt this show down.

  • Where was this series shown and how did I miss it?
