Oakridge Cemetary in the City of Madison was the scene of an exhumation
that had the purpose of identifying a hit and run victim from August of 1980.
A forensic team from Ft. Myers, Florida lead by Dr. Heather Walsh-Haney, Ph.D.
of Florida Gulf Coast University came to Madison to assist the Madison County
Sheriff's Department in identifying the person hit and killed by an unknown driver
on Hwy 90 between Madison and Greenville, Florida almost 29 years ago. Also
with the team was Amy Stump of Green Cove Springs, Florida who is a forensic
artist.
