  • @platmosic oh yeah I know I got that but he wasn't the only one to do it, besides scherzo has come so very far from its meaning its almost pointless to call it a scherzo anymore. There isn't much joking about this one that's for sure

  • @Hamiltonharty the thing is that writing such long scherzi destroys the whole purpose of scherzi lol

  • @platmosic mahler, beethoven, dvorak, prokofiev, rachmaninov, tchaikovsky to name a few

  • sometimes schubert stressed himself too much ... who in the right mind would write scherzi each over 8 minutes long? Him and only him lol
