This video is incredibly bias. Its filled with factious facts. The article about Boeing vs Airbus was in the recent Wall street journal. And they were neck to neck with Airbus trailing behind. It only beat Boeing based on " orders' and the orders were not fulfilled because the customers retracted the orders after the few plane malfuctions like quantus air and similar plane have several issues including the engine disinterring in mid air.
@omichron420 If they are the most successful, then they are also the largest. Take Toyota, for example, they are considered the largest car manufacturer because they make more than anyone else.... same principle but with aircraft.
@LUpilot2012 Right let's not go down that road because I think we both know all too well Boeing have been subsidised too. Remeber this news article from March? "US aircraft manufacturer Boeing received at least $5.3bn (£3.3bn) in unfair aid from Washington, the World Trade Organization (WTO) has concluded." BBC
And erm, Airbus is the largest aircraft manufacturer in the world and has been since 2004.
@cheesemaster1000 you mean Europe didn't invest 11 billion..Airbus is heavily funded by countries in Europe in an effort to compete and eventually "overtake" Boeing as the worlds top aircraft manufacturer.
@LUpilot2012 SIA, EK, QF, AF, LH and KE all love their A380s. If it was so irrelevant then why has EK ordered 90? You have obviously not flown on an A380. They make long haul flights to Australia much more comfortable. The idea of the A380 is what it says in the doc, at an airport like Heathrow, there is NO room to expand. The only way they can expand is through larger airliners. Heathrow isn't the only airport with congestion problems.

@cheesemaster1000 i was unawares that large and successful were the same thing.

@omichron420 Airbus both sell and deliver more aircraft than any other manufacturer (just look at the 2011 figures, for example).

@cheesemaster1000 i'd like to know what your definition of "largest" is.

@LUpilot2012 I don't think Airbus invested 11 billion euros just to "overtake" the 747.
