Ford had the Tri-Power in 1961 I had a 390 with 401 hp. and had a 406 with 405hp in a 1962 Galaxie. that was Tri-power. I had a R code 63 1/2 427- 425hp with 2 x 4's

Ford never made tripower. chevy did. did you swap intakes or somthing?

The Ford Tri-Power was first used in 1961 on the Super Hi-Per 390 which was an option in the Galaxie. The Tr-Power was also available on the 406 beginning in 1962. The 427 in mid year '63 used a dual quad aimed at NHRA or a single 4 bbl aimed at NASCAR.
The Tri-Power also found it's way into both the Fairlane and Comet through the late '60's.
