No offense but your op-amp rectifier circuit is flawed in more than one way. Take your time and simulate your circuits in SPICE before spreading mistakes.

@lennyhome Would you like to elaborate? I'm intentionally trying to keep it simple, and use a low-component count so it is easy for beginners to follow. I didn't claim to have exceptionally robost amplifier circuit in this video, just something simple that would do the job. I always appreciate feedback, please feel free to email me via the contact form on my website to elaborate on what you don't like about the circuit, etc.

Great tutorials, Jeremy. THanks for providing them. I am just starting out as a hobbyist in electronics and your vids have enlightened me a good deal in a very short time. Please carify this for me . I am confused. I read an electronics book that " CONVENTIONAL CURRENT FLOW IS FROM THE POSITIVE TO THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL IN A CIRCUIT BUT THAT THE FLOW OF ELECTRONS IS FROM THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL TO THE POSITIVE TERMINAL."
wHaT?!! Doesn't current flow in the same direction as electrons?

@skizz0id When Benjamin Franklin was first investigating electricity, he incorrectly assumped that the current carrying element was positive (protons), but it was later discovered that electrons are the mobile component. Alas, the standard had already been defined, so now we're stuck with this. Current flows in the same direction as positive "holes", but opposite of the direction of negative electrons.
