This is the first tribute video i ever made and just came accross it today, its a short video compiled of pictures and letters from my grandmothers scrapbook describing my grandfathers life, and his time as a POW in hong kong during the second world war. the song i chose to fit his time at war is Mama, I'm Comin' Home by ozzie ozbourne...enjoy
as someone who never knew about the horror stories of the fall of hongkong and in fact we were never taught about it in school. I am glad to see such a heartfelt and loving tribute to a gentleman such as your grandfather, I just recently read the book called the damned which is about the canadian experiences in hongkong. god bless him. those guys deserve more recognition than what they were given and the japanese should apologize for the hell they put them through.

I knew John Jameison as a hockey coach, a softball coach, a cadet leader, and as a father to a couple of friends. He was a fine man, and probably the most important person to his commmunity in his era.

Great job. John Jamieson was not only a war hero but one in his community of Judique. A true gentleman.
