Dave Taylor, MLA for Calgary-Currie, weighs in with his opinion on the government's proposed Bill 50. Highlights of the Bill? If it passes, a levy will be applied to your energy bill for the next 40 years to pay for power lines that may not be necessary, and are definitely not in the best interests of Calgarians, and the kicker is, you don't get to say a thing about it. Ever.
Add Bill 19 and the 2008 exemption of all high voltage power lines from the environmental impact assessment process to the P.C.'s list of electricity transmission initiatives designed to benefit the power industry at the expense of Alberta consumers and the environment.

Good job Dave Taylor. The PCs can go suck on their electric line!
