Congratulations on your freshman choir singing such a beautiful song. If you look on Amazon, you'll see many choirs of all levels have sung it. This video was taken with a little $100 camera set on the floor and was not meant to be competitive in any way. Although the recording can not compare to seeing it live, I'm proud that the ladies here captured the essence of Elgar's intentions in composition. As a composer and conductor, I think anything beyond that is icing on the cake.

It's not the quality of singing that's lacking, it's the commitment. This is a quietly powerful piece of choral music. Nicely sung, just needs to be more heartfelt.

Great job here to all. The whole thing is very tightly performed and sounds very polished with great pitch. The piano is very nice and no chance of any off pitch notes as i'm hearing with other violin versions of this piece on youtube. Most importantly this music is awesome, and the stained glass in the background with the perspective behind the conductor make this a great video.

This song is one of the songs we'll be playing with all girls who will do exams in music. It's fantastic to sing this one. It's going to be one of the best songs of the evening, I think (together with Adiemus by Karl Jenkins)

It's not bad, but there were a lot of spread vowels, and people were singing different vowels throughout. It also could have been a little more expressive by using more dynamics throughout the piece.

And to ememz19, the piece calls for an accelerando there.

I love this song though! We just performed it this weekend at the University of Kansas for our winter concert, Vespers.
