Making a Hole in a Glass Bottle - Attempt 1 with BB Gun

We are using a BB gun to make a hole in glass bottles; for a prank.
This is the first attempt, later we have figured out some flaws in our idea, and will show the correct way to you. However, we thought that this video might be useful, and slightly entertaining.
The BB Gun actually does work, but you must use it correctly. We were close, but not close enough.

You will need:
Glass Bottles [We are using Root Beer Bottles in this attempt]
BB Gun
X-acto knife [Or any knife]
Duct Tape [Optional, electrical tape]

Please keep the caps of the glass bottles, you can use them in another project I suppose.
