    After listening several times, it's clear to me that he said "Agar", not "Agarose" which is what the medium is made of. He kind of mushed two sentences together, while leaving out a bunch of information. As you no doubt know, agar is derived from a polysaccharide from red algae. Then he sort of pauses and then restarts to re-clarify, the medium is bacteria food. @420dax420 is correct. So what else you got for why this is complete and absolute nonsense? Serious question.
