Edit: At the time this video was taken, we thought that 'Sabi was a boy. We've since found out that she's a darling grumpy girl! Please check out her other videos as well!

Wasabi is a Rock Pebbler, aka, Smoker, Rock Pebbler, Rock Pepplar, Black-tailed Parakeet, and Marlock Parakeet. We're still working on hand taming and training, as the poor dear was cagebound when I purchased her. Seeing as how I've had her a little over a week, we've come a long way!

Please enjoy the first known internet video of a Rock Pebbler, and I'm quite sure there will be more to come! More people should know about these cute little pears with wings.

  • I have a male regent parrot who is now about 2 and a half years old. I will post some videos of him shortly. His name is Enzo and I have trained him since he was just a little baby, so he is incredibly tame and comfortable with human contact. These are gorgeous birds to have as a pet because their temperament is fantastic, they are gentle, intelligent and make a great companion if you give them the time of day. Thanks for sharing your video, Wasabi is a cutie.

  • Awesome! Sabi and I would love to see other pebblers!

  • This made me smile! I have a Rock Pebbler named Gigi and I brought her in to watch. Thanks!

  • Yay more pebbler owners! Hope you enjoyed!

  • Please take more videos of Wasabi...he's a handsome boy! What are they like as pets? Are they loud, playful, mellow, ect?

  • In general, Rock Pebblers are pretty mellow birds and are really more observers than anything. Mine is kind of grumpy because she came to me cagebound, but we've been working on taming and training and she's making great progress. As far as volume, they're really quiet birds! Mine grumbles and that's about it. ... And about being a boy, I actually have reason to believe that Wasabi is in fact a girl. Go figure.
