That is an awsome idea! For everyone yes they are hard to keep cost allot of money. You cannot see salt it's seaweed you probably mean and unlike allot of times they aren't meant t be kept with corals.

how did you get them to eat out of that...was it hard to try and get them to get in there?

I did have to show them out to eat out of the cup. What I did was feed them through the tube that you see in the picture for a few weeks. They would see it falling out the bottom.
Then after a few weeks, I placed the cup with a straw run through it under the tube to catch the food, they new it was always at the bottom of that tube, thus eating it from the cup. No waste that way and everything stays in the cup until eaten.
If not, I flush it daily to disperse it to the rest of the inhabitants.

what is the container they are in?

They are using a butter tub for their food, several people have asked what it is.
It is oblong so that I can run a straw through it for a hitching post.
The mysis shrimp I get at my local fish store, comes in a cube pack, frozen, I just drop the frozen cube into the tube, as it thaws, it drops down the tube into the butter tub for them to get to.
