Gary Lineker outpaces his now on-screen Match of the Day pundit Alan Hansen to grab Everton's only goal in the 1986 FA Cup Final against Liverpool. Lineker scored after 27 minutes to put Everton ahead, however Everrton would go on to lose the match 3-1 as goals from Ian Rush and Craig Johnston sealed the Liverpool victory.

  • @irishchrisc I know Liverpool won the game 3-1, i've seen repeats of this final, more times than care to remember, just bit of banter my friend, no harm intended.

  • @irishchrisc Lol Hansen was done by Lineker's pace there, bet years later, they had more than bit of banter over that, when they worked on Match Of The Day together.

  • Hansen was caught with pace. He was no slouch. really, I. can't blame him for Lineker"s pace......
