Whip Basics Video - "The Whip, the Weapon"

This is a supplemental to the existing WB DVDs - "Whip Basics - a Beginners Guide". Some folks call the whip a weapon all the time. In my opinion a whip is for herding cattle and for sports cracking. That's it. It's dangerous to think, that the movie tricks work in reality, too... So we produced a little movie to point out some...things. It's all not too serious - in fact it's all very ironic - but the message is clear. I hope...

Thanks for your comments! It's all very ironic, sure, but I see that you understand my point. @jackXcross - you're absolutely right, but in that vid it's only about that one to one situation.

Filipino martial artists seem to disagree. A novice with any weapon is better off running, but those who truly know what they are doing are perfectly capable of defending their lives.

@WhipBasics i love your video,s but i have to somewhat disagree. yes it would be stupid to try to protect your self with a whip againts a gun. but no pun intended from the looks of it u dont know much about self defence. a whip can have its place as weapon if you train with that way. and does cut like a knife ive seen that first hand. you are more of a showman so i can see why think the way you do. i on the other hand train people in combat can tell you were it would be effective.

It's True, you CANT take a gun away from an attacker - Even though Catwoman, Anthony DeLongis and Lash Larue have all done it successfully in the Movies. When it comes down to it on the streets of LA - Your asking for trouble going up against a gun.

You CAN change someones mind by cracking a Loud Ass Whip and telling them you are about to remove their right ear if they come any closer - I have successfully defended myself in this manner, and it does work.
