Home automation vendor Promixis provides dignity, independence to residents with MS and Lou Gehrig's disease.

Promixis's new enterprise-grade control system, called PEAC, is installed at the Leonard Florence Center for Living in Chelsea, Mass.

Steve Saling and his nine housemates have ALS, and most (like Steve) have no control over his arms, legs, hands, voice and other faculties. Across the hall, PEAC is used by 10 more residents who have multiple sclerosis and slightly more dexterity.

Here, Steve controls the elevators via the home automation system.

See how these individuals enjoy an excellent quality of life. Read the story at www.cepro.com/alshome
