  • "The Giant Gippsland Earthworm has a pinkish-grey body with a dark purple head. They are often uncovered during digging. Injuries sustained by being dug out of their burrows or direct handling by humans will almost certainly kill them. They are very fragile."

  • Actually if you cut a worm in half you will most likely have a dead worm...although SOME species can regenerate a tail, if you cut it too close to the head it will die .Also the half that was cut off from the head will definitely be dead as they cannot grow a new head.
