Our Economic Demise--Why?

The economic downfall of Great Britain and the USA is inevitable, and the Bible has long ago prophesied that it would occur. Why is this going to happen, and what are the spiritual reasons for it?

Even though I am not a Christian, I understand your belief in a "Two House" Theology. What I don't understand is your apparent belief in Paul of Tarsus. He is a "False Prophet" under the rules set by Moshe via HaShem, in Deuteronomy 13. You can't believe in a man who rejects Torah. Paul is a reject-er of Torah and is in fact "Torah-less". How do you proclaim Romans and obey Sabbath. Problematic to say the least.

@Kittenkattan Paul did not reject the Torah. He never taught against keeping the Sabbath, as it is one of the Ten Commandments. He kept the Sabbath, as we read in Acts 17:2: "Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures."

How do you explain, Galatians Chapter 3? He moves away from Torah there, Or eating meat from idols (1 Cor. 10:14-32), which contradicts both the Torah and James' decision found in Acts 15:20, 29. and Acts 21:25? I would like to know how this man can be respected by any Two house Theologian?

@Kittenkattan He wrote in Hebrews 4:9 that it is the "duty of the people of God to keep the Sabbath" (Lamsa translation). He said to governor Felix: "But this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets..." @LondonTwink The Creator is not filled with "raging jealousy", otherwise you and I wouldn't even have the blessing of thought or life. God doesn't condemn people to Hell. His Holy Word states we are condemned already, yet in His mercy He has allowed us to live, breath, act. He sent His Son as an act of mercy and grace to allow sinful people to have eternal life as a gift. Now....it's up to you as to whether you accept that free gift in His Son Jesus or reject it. God or Hell-it's your choice.

@LondonTwink Interesting comments. Obviously you haven't even read the Bible from cover to cover, the very Book you're criticizing. Most educated people at least read what they're criticizing. I dare you to read it with an open mind - from cover to cover. What do you have to lose? At least be knowledgeable about what you're speaking. To do otherwise only promotes ignorance and stupidity.

The Bible is the word of Jesus' disciple's. I don't recall anywhere in the bible a giant hand coming down from the sky with a pen and paper. A truth is a truth until you organise it then it becomes a lie, faith is simple. The dogma or doctrine of religion has done no good except caused so much fear in people they behave appropriately. No offence but the bible has caused more bloodshed than Jesus and whatever the creative spirit in this universe is would have ever wanted.

The USA is is approximately 232 years, and it's in a process of inevitable and irreversible decline and collapse. Compare this to the long lasting ancient civilizations like Egypt, China, Persia, Pre-Colombian society, India etc. it is a history of nothing. A short- lived society without any real values except letting each individual's motives of greed, lust, etc. become the cultural norm. Without a constant reference to a higher authority (GOD) & eternal values no society has lasted long.

If some people could take the time to see for themselves and do research on the origins of America and Great Britain in the Bible, there would be no arguments. The Bible is the Word of God and does not contradict itself. Mr.Link is correct. We all need to turn to God,or America and Great Britain will fall. A quote from speaker of the House(Pelosi) saying "We don't need God,we have democrats" shows how "proud" and foolish our government is. Without God and His Son,Jesus Christ,we are nothing.

While I do agree with the premise of what you're talking about in terms of a bad era in the economies of these countries. That my narrow minded, book worshipping friend is the result of the actions of men. While you search outside yourself looking to a book to find answers instead of within, you say everyone else is Sleeping?! You know the bible was re-written to suit past world leaders interests such as Constantine there were over 40 editions cut down to just 2 and edited to suit his purposes.

Furthermore God is not an old man sitting on a cloud waiting to hand out punishment whenever he gets in to a furious jealous rage over his creations not bowing down to him or his apparent only child Jesus.

If there is a thing such as God I highly doubt our human minds are at the stage of truly understanding something that is beyond our comprehension and beyond any Person we have met. We're human! that Divine creative intelligence that must love all things or else would not create, is not a man!
