This is Video #2 of my Pepper / Chilli Plants for the 2010 Growing Season.

I started with 288 Plants and have gave away most, now I am down to about 60 that I will keep for my self. I normally use peat pots but this year decided to try the little red plastic cups as they are FAR cheaper than Peat pots. You can get 50 red cups for around $2.50 VS peat pots are around .40 cents each! So you would only get 6 peat pots for the same price.

I went out of town for a few days and forgot to have my Girl Friend water them so they wilted kinda bad and some still have leaves that are a little curled. :-(

Here is a list of the Quantities and Plants I kept for my self:

8 Green Bells
8 Red Bells
6 "The GodFather" Hybrid
4 Sweet Bananna

6 Salsa Delight Hybrid

6 Jalapeno
7 Thai Hot
6 Habanero (Orange)
6 Caribbean Reds (Habanero

THANKS FOR WATCHING!!! :-)

  • Your plants look fairly large for using those type of lights. How long were you able to maintain that dark-green foliage on flourescents? Did you ever transfer to a Metal Halide light? thx

  • @jsmed07 No, just used the Flourescents from about February when I start them until End of May beginning of June when they go out side. They stay dark green like that the whole time. no extra fert or anything just lights and water.

  • did u cut holes in the bottoms of those cups

    ?

  • @vroomfreakz Yes, i cut five 1/4" holes in each cup. One in the center and 4 around the outsides.

  • @vroomfreakz I also left them stacked together in stacks of i think about 20 or so and drilled through all at once to make it faster.

  • Very nice vid! i just wonder when you started planting them(month) Thank you very much!

  • @MRTHATSFAKEANDGAY I live in northern MI and typically start them from seed February-March
