I like that he mentioned the transition town process that was started in Devon :) I'd love to see far more use of electronic democracy to involve the public in everything from political candidate selection to policy formation - replacing the quango system we have now. We are still at the start of this social process and there's still lots to be optimistic about even with economic and environmental crises. Good talk, Tom.
