Overview of vendors (service providers) and how PortaBilling keeps track of their balance.

Each of your partners in the telecommunications business is defined in PortaBilling as a vendor. PortaBilling can keep track of all calls terminated or delivered to your network by a specific vendor (in the case of toll-free numbers, for instance). In addition to charging an account or customer, a new CDR will be produced for every call made on your network, containing information about costs associated with that call.

This allows you to do the following:
- obtain up-to-date information regarding the cost/revenue situation of your business (PortaBilling includes comprehensive cost/revenue reports),
- verify invoices for each individual vendor, and
- monitor quality parameters for each vendor (call success rate, average call duration and the like).
