I think it has to do with people, who through their actions and greed become inhuman. This can apply to a lot of politicians and religious figures. It makes me think of the movie They Live, which is the same idea, except the people actually ARE aliens.

Out of curiosity, does Andy play any rhythms on this album? I know he usually tunes to standard in King Diamond, and since he has a locking tremolo system I don't know how he would be able to tune down to D with Chuck. Maybe he only played leads and just recorded them in standard tuning over the d tuned riffs?

its about religion because religion on earth is the most common form of ignorance. religion is the manifestation of ignorance in human form. "look to the air for stories to chose" many religions that have heavinly saviours up high. "scientist of the world unite, your services are more than needed" scientist being the "educated" ,if you will, can stop the spread of the ignorace. the one thing that really trips me up is the "to become a home for this alien breed"
