The Conservative government has outsourced the manufacturing of maple leaf pins to China. The latest shipment of maple leaf lapel pins to Parliamentary offices has arrived with "Made in China" product labels. New Democrat Heritage Critic Charlie Angus (Timmins-James Bay) says he's outraged that taxpayers' dollars are being used to outsource Canadian symbols - such as the maple leaf - overseas.

  • I agree, we should pay $100 for these pins rather than $1. Then we can feel good that a union worker making $30 produced them.

  • I don't agree with a ton of NDP policies, but good for this fellow. It's good to see not all Canadian politicians have lost their integrity!

  • Stop calling them Tories! This is very offensives to real Tories (like Scott Brison, a Liberal now) who despise the Harper-Cons! :)
