I love the song & I love Johnny Cash. But I preffer to remember the great man when he was in his prime.

Lennon was always up for a challenge and he was a Cash fan (from what I hear). Anyone who could work with Ringo as long as he did can work with anyone. :)

I think if Lennon had been alive when this was recorded he would have joined in a duet. That would have been amazing. And maybe they would have done "working class hero" (cleaned up a bit for Cash maybe).

Love the song... brings a new dimension to the original. Both bring up different emotions. If there was anyone I would have to cover Lennon's vocals, it would be Cash. He really pours his heart into a song like Lennon did.
