This video shows a lawn being seeded with Bermuda Grass Seed for the summer. Bermuda is a Drought Tolerant Grass that goes dormant during winter. Once ground temperatures rise to around 70 degrees Bermuda Grass becomes active again. http://www.landscapenashville.com Take a look at what Bermuda Grass seed looks like and how it is spread.
For Bermuda seed: Mow grass short and bag or rake up the clippings, aerate the lawn, spread the seed using a broadcast spreader or rent a seeder, use a lawn roller to press the seed to the ground (Seed must be in contact with soil), water several times a day to keep the seed moist until it germinates. Once seed germinates, continue watering but reduce the frequency. Seed in late April, May or early June for best results.
