Puma and Green Dragon boats have suffered significant damage by an unforgiving Southern Ocean in the early stages of Leg Two of the Volvo Ocean Race. Meanwhile, the threat of piracy still looms large for the eight boat fleet on the 4,450-mile stretch from Cape Town, South Africa, to Kochi, India. Available clips include shots of the teams sailing on Leg Two of the race, as well as soundbites with Kimo Worthington, GM of Puma Ocean Racing.

  • I wish I had the pportunity

  • I have stood for hours my face being pounded by the spray until it was numb...Learning what I call my head dip....timing the crashing of the wave with my head dip which works 60% of the time.....an experience I will go for at every opportity. I feel it when I watch this racers....

  • i think it stalled...??/on its side??mmmmdont go sailing with these guys...way out of control...pushing,,too hard,,surrised the boat didnt fail?/

  • the wind was too strong. The boat was on the side

  • think a running backstay got caught round the end of the boom.

  • Whats wrong?

  • why did it take so long to right itself?

  • I built the rudders and bowsprit for this boat, bit upset they have stopped racing

  • yeah, after the first 5 that spray might become a bit tedious
