  • umm.. well, I don't think that it was ever meant to be brewed through the esspresso machine. I would never have that expectation in the first place, especially since it is not an espresso roast. It is however, excellent as a drip. Haven't tried it through a press yet. Again, why would you have that expectation? Curious.

  • @canvendor the point of the challenge was to try all the coffees in the three brewing methods. Some coffees surprised me some not so much.

From EDB i was hoping that the shot would have toasted nutty notes.

The end result was weak and not the best. (not the worst mind you) True it's not an "espresso" roast but you can get good results by using other levels of roast.

  • The other day they did a "pour through" in my cup- whatever that means. Pike Place was added to my cup of Komodo Dragon. PP totally ruined it for me.

  • pike place sucks!

  • Ooooo....can you show us which espresso machine you use at home?! :) (the design of the ESPRESSIONE is sooo perty)

Also, have you heard of or seen a vacuum coffee maker before? Looks like it belongs in a science lab hehe.

And finally, Pike Place...I've only ever had the decaf...perhaps you can compare the same roast in regular and decaf in the same prep style? Just an idea...I don't know if the taste would necessarily be different, but now I'm curious...
