turkish culture is so rich! if you go to the east of Turkey they don't dance like that if you go to the west they most dance like that . my father is an crimean Turk and he olso don't dance like that but my mother is a Balkan Turk "rumelian turk" or in turkish Evladi-Fatihan torunu... and they dance like this. lutfen gelipte bu bizim degil demeyin trakyaya gidip bu turk halayi degil dedigin an zaten trakya dusmanin olur. yada git bi bayrampasaliya de sen turk degilsin bak ne yapiyo seni...

This is a dance of the immigrants(Turks and non Turks) from the Balkan. So mostly in the Western part of Turkey they will dance this.

Hi Folks, this dance is well know among Macedonians who call it "idam, ne idam". The words of the chorus are "Idam, ne idam. Idam, ne idam. Sega ke dojdam. Sega ke dojdam", which means, "I'm going, I'm not going. Now I'll come." As a musician I used to play it all the time at dances and weddings. Usually it was only danced by women and girls. It is not so popular now.
