Steelcase LearnLab - Learning Outside the Box
Classrooms today must support frequent collaboration and communication, easy transfer of information between individuals and groups, the effective display of content and the need for teams to constantly reconfigure and switch between different ways of working. These are the demands that the LearnLab environment was designed to meet. The LearnLab grew out of a user-centered design process developed by Steelcases WorkSpace Futures group. The process begins with research to clearly understand end users and their specific needs.

  • @adamsidd We actually have a working model on our college site. It has been great for student interaction.

  • Very interesting video and idea. Was this implemented into a high school classroom?

  • Small groups - 6-12 people. About the same number to take down a Woolly Mammoth. This works, and we need to change our classrooms to respond to technology and the ability to resource information.

  • I just saw this yesterday and was just amazed at the simple learning method. This is a method of teaching the that the young generation as well as the older generation can benefit from.
