I'm completely unimpressed. seriously. I hear nothing special about her voice or style at all. And so disappointed...she's playing a show with the amazing Rickie Lee Jones.

Well that's a tad harsh, geez. Madeleine Peyroux is actually very talented, and is one of the most underrated Artists of our time. She deserves more recognition and praise. In 1996, when Dreamland was first released, she was only twenty-three-years-old, and to me anyway, that's something special. Furthermore, there isn't a doubt in my mind that you're jealous of her talent. You probably can't hold a note, and the only way that you feel you can deal with that is through trolling gifted musicians.

That was a perfect sax solo. Every note was thought out. Reminded me of Paul Desmond. That dude never wasted a note.

Madeleine Peyroux's songs are of varied quality. This one, for example, doesn't have her energy in it. She's singing is a single range, and is at her best with some energy and variation in high and low. Her best is "Lonesome Road" followed by "Don't Cry Baby." The best female singer today is Renee Olstead. Period.

I really love that retro-vintage sound. It`s very inimate and a very special sound. It`s like a good old claret. Today there`s no modern jazz-singer who sounds so caress, silky and picturesquely like Madeleine Peyroux. I also like D.Krall, M.Gardot, S.Nergaard, N.Jones and especially E. Cassidy but M.Peyroux is unique.

When I listen to her it gives me such a untroubled good feeling.

the only thing that spoils my enjoyment of this song is that it's Simon bloody Cowell's favourite song!

Apart from that Ms P sounds as effortlessly classy as ever.
