Il ny a aucune logique économique derrière largumentaire selon lequel les citoyens dun pays riche doivent réduire leur niveau de vie ou subir une baisse des programmes sociaux gouvernementaux à cause des progrès économiques des pays émergents quand un pays développé a atteint un certain niveau de productivité.
