The two witnesses of REV 11, searching for their identity, JR Church and Gary Stearman from prophecyinthenews.com

the Keil&Delitzsch commentary of Deut 34:5-6 says:

The fact itself that the Lord buried His servant Moses, and no man knows of his sepulchre, is in perfect keeping with the relation in which Moses stood to the Lord while he was alive... As Kurtz observes, "The purpose of God was to prepare for him a condition, both of body and soul, resembling that of these two men of God. Men bury a corpse that it may pass into corruption. If Jehovah, therefore, would not suffer the body of Moses to be buried by men, it is but natural to seek for the reason in the fact that He did not intend to leave him to corruption, but, when burying it with His own hand, imparted a power to it which preserved it from corruption, and prepared the way for it to pass into the same form of existence to which Enoch and Elijah were taken, without either death or burial."

Jud 1:9 But Michael the archangel, when contending with the Devil, he argued about the body of Moses; he dared not bring a judgment of blasphemy, but said, "Let the Lord rebuke you!"

I believe the dispute over the body of Moses meant that Micahel wanted to move the body from where the Lord buried it and take it to heaven. The transfiguration event reveals Elijah and Moses both with bodies on earth which makes me believe that Moses had had already his body changed.

Anyway it is appointed to men to die once, Heb 9:27, may not apply to Moses if he is one of the witnesses because both witnesses would have uncorrupted or anyway special bodies throwing fires out of their mouths. So it is possible for Moses to die twice as it will be possible for many of us never to die because of the rapture. So there are exceptions to Heb 9:27.

My personal belief is that the two witnesses will come with the Lord at the rapture from heaven and not being born on earth again, and a picture of that is in Gen 18-19, the judgment over Sodom and Gomorrah, where the Lord came with two angels but he let the angels execute judgment, compare Gen 19: 9-11 with Rev 11:5.

  • the 2 witnesses is not men, they are the CHURCH,and ISRAEL, The candlestick,is the Church and the Olive tree,is Israel,it does not state almond trees

  • @Omega222Alpha Then go move to Jerusalem.

  • What a wussies. Calmly telling about a chapter in the Bible that should be discussed The two witnesses are living today and soon will be ordered by the Lord to wear a sackcloth. Then, for 3 1/2 years, they will cause maham on this planet. Burn people alive, summon plagues, and punish entire nations. As often as they desire!! So, they walk into any place and take what they think they need, and if they don't get their way, they will turn into some flaming ball of fire and start burning people!!

  • IM ONE OF THE 2 WITNESSES

  • I believe the two witnesses will be the true Christians and the spiritual Jews. My opinion.

  • very good its very helpful there is nothing i can say but to keep it up and call god 4 understatnding his the onlyone that can help us understand his word

  • @TJwooable it doesn't matter to us..

  • Moses the law giver, Yeshua who gave him the law and Elijah the prophet who prophesied the first coming of Jesus Christ (Yeshua). Those scripture are plain simple to understand, we need to keep them in content and quit trying to misinterpreted them. As Jr & Gary speak it is true. Moses & Elijah are those two witnesses. There are many other scriptures to back up in OT and NT

  • @altops It is not speculation, read the word and keep them in content. They speak plain and clear.

  • @geoshelewis its interesting but God is Sovereign it could be any two,, theres no Doctrine to it, only speculation that is to say theres no worth/Faith in trusting one way or another.
