Robert Pattinson, 1st day of shooting "Remember Me" in NYC

Robert Pattinson on the set of his new film "Remember Me" in Greenwich Village, New York City. This was the first day of filming, and the scene was simply Robert saying goodbye to someone and walking away down the sidewalk. He is smoking a cigarette in the scene...I don't know why directors insist on filming young stars smoking, it is irresponsible. Perhaps the director (Allen Coulter) is getting a check from a tobacco company.

maybe the script was just written as his character smoking. it's probably not cigarette companies paying anyone or the movie industry being jerks, if the script was written with the character as a smoker he should be one in the film. tolerance is a two way street.

You may be right, but there are few scripts in which cigarettes are a necessary plot device. More often the director is shown a Ferrari parked by the curb...he gets the keys if his lead actor smokes.

Jesus CHRIST what is WRONG with these chicks?I think they should just not talk. EVER.Rob,yes,is beautiful,but maybe they could pay attention to his other attributes-his musical talent: beautiful ability to play the piano and guitar, as well as sing w/more soul than ANY other signed artist these days;His intelligence:the man has a BRAIN,and its not full of sports statistics or fart jokes;His humbleness:he doesnt even KNOW how wonderful he is,which is endearing;His acting: fabulous and believable.
