Leoghanta - Album Trailer "The Fall of a Hero"

This is the albumt trailer of the Swiss Epic Metal band Leoghanta. Since we don't want to let you wait any longer for new moments of Leoghanta's music we decided to upload this video with samples of our unreleased album "The Fall of a Hero". But these samples are only from the first version of the album that we did for the band members only.

hi,

i was listen to the song "william wallace" but you didn´t use the East West Library on this song for violin?!!! actually the orchester sounds on this trailer are good except on some parts (3:30 the solo instrument) but the overall production could be better. Orchester could be a lot quiter to get a more powerfull sound out of guitars and drums. whats this for a "beep" at 3:42 (metronome???) how did you made up guitars and drums? so keep up the good work!!!

@MrBlacksphere: For "William Wallace" we used the Silver Edition of East West. But solo violins are extremely difficult to sample so it doesn't surprise that even the good orchestra libraries don't have satisfying samples.

Yes, the production is completely done by myself and I didn't mix anything before the album. I used some instructions from the internet but the result isn't that good and could be much better. The guitars I recorded with Toneport ux2 and the drums are EzDrummer and DfH.

The approaches are promising but the sound sucks. I eagerly await the final versions.

By the way check out the sample library of east west silver edition to get rid of that terrible sounding plastic strings. pretty cheap but really good .

p.s. some parts are actually better than some of your old vids, :-) do you get a new lib?

@MrBlacksphere: Thanks for your message. Actually, we used the EastWest Gold XP version for the orchestration. But we're not satisfied with the violins we chose too ;-) We didn't have the time to test every legato string patch of the Gold Edition and took one with a good attack. There surely are better ones that that one, yes.
