This isn't an Irish song! My dad was with the 51st in Sicily. Please change the title.

@vimmerman They are the identical lyrics to this song as sung by the Chad Mitchell Trio in their album, "Reflecting", which I have had for 45 years.

A song about the 51st Highland Division leaving Sicily during World War II is not Irish.
Contrary to popular belief, not every folk song is Irish.

Dear, dear, very nice but definitely not Irish.
Try to find the original lyrics sometime- I've never seen them written down in proper Scots.
