How to Convert an iPod Touch/iPhone FIMRWARE File from .ZIP to .IPSW!!!

Hey guys. I know a lot of you have been having a problem where Redsn0w isn't processing your firmware correctly or isn't being downloaded correctly because it is a ZIP file. Here's how to make an ipsw.

1) Go into "Documents" or any other folder/directory.

2) In the almost top-left, click the "Organize" button. Then click on "Folder and Search Options".

3) Go to the "View" tab and where the option says "Hide extensions for known file types", make sure it is unchecked.

4) NOW, go to that .zip file and right-click it and click Rename.

5) Delete the last part with the extension (zip) and after the period, write "ipsw".

6) Click "Yes" when prompted.

You are done! It should work for upgrading or jailbreaking now!
