Jim Hall is - if not my favorite jazz guitarist - then in the top three with Wes and Tal. Fascinating piece this... on first hearing it reminds me of having great fun jamming - which is on occasion more fun for the player than the listener... Jim is so inventive and such a sensitive musician that he graces any stage he performs on. Amazing talent. I wonder if he knows how good he is - or does it come so naturally to him that it seems no big deal?

Awesome...inspirational. Both such powerhouses of musicianship who remind us that for music videos, the music can speak for itself. Thanks for posting.

I love Jim Hall, and totally respect Zoller. I do know there is awesome talent displayed here, but this tune interpretation does not delivers on what i look for. No offense please, i love and understand this music. Just sharing a respectful opinion.
I will listen to it again in a few days agains tho.
Thanks for the upload!

I take back anything bad i ever said about Attila zoller. He's actually now one of my favorite guitarists. It's an amazing revelation when you come to love something that you previously had no use for. The change came when i saw the other videos from this live performance. His playing is contrary to Jim's, what i didn't like about it is what i like about it now.
Thank you very much!!!
As a young guy, 15 years old, I watched it on german TV, trying to improvise on my jazz-guitar these days, I saw Attila 3 years later in Basel, then, the last time in 1994 in southern Germany, where he promised me to send the score of Struwwelpeter....
I miss his music, honestly
thanks again for this great video of "careful" - a tune I love so much and really love to play...
cheers,
Michael

Glad I could share. I also knew Attila. What a great guy he was, on and off the bandstand.
