What´s the point to cover song just like it was in original version. I think it s good when you make your version about some song, you bring something new or own to the song. Not just make it like it was made before. Because it s YOUR version. Otherwise it s called karaoke.

@ddredeve I agree on this. I am in the process of learning German, and I find that even I speak with a slightly lower tone in order to mimic the sound of words. (I've also been told that everything in German sounds like, "I'm going to tear your freaking head off and burn your corpse!" except for Hallo! and Guten Tag! :D )
