Rihanna, when someone beats a woman they lose all reason, and what he did to her, whatever the reason, is horrific, and must be punished, that's my opinion.
Last year when chris brown and rihanna had their fight everyone all the sudden wanted to talk about Domestic Violence! Come on people! domestic violence happens everywhere and every single day! This is not news! people just wanted to talk about it cuz chris brown and rihanna are major artist in the music world.
@feministfrequency have you dont any studies with this? I have, i have actually done a college criminal justice report on this. You are mistaken, 76% of the time women report the crime. some say the percent of men can be as low as 10%, please dont try and tell me what is and what isnt without having some kind of schooling. You probably didnt even know what the dark side of the figure meant until i told you.
@540luke Seriously!? If you want to look at the "dark side of things" there are EVEN more women who are not reporting abuse then the numbers we are statistically given. And you wanna talk about men not reporting violent crimes, women are shamed, humiliated and made to feel so guilty about being harmed so much so that an alarming number of women never seek out help.
@feministfrequency that aint true really, it has been proven in studies that guys are much more unlikely to report a violent crime that has happed to them. Mainly because of the culture of America, guys have to be big and tough while girls must be small and brittle.
so yes if you take the PRC there will be more men hitting women, but if you look at the dark side of the figure (which means reported and unreported/charged) it will most likely even out alot.
Although I think it's great you made a PSA against violence, domestic violence is not just something that happens "anytime, anyplace to anyone", it is disproportionally male violence against women and it's really important that the conversation is framed that way or else we will continue being shocked when this happens to famous people and continue to ignore the epidemic levels of violence happening in American homes and not take large-scale action to stop it.
the only time you hit a women is if she punches you first, then ya smack a bitch

@feministfrequency
"it is disproportionally male violence against women"
It is not. 270+ studies over the last 30 years have concluded otherwise.
