Its easy when Jamie-B from Total Recall Films takes an in depth look at filming & editing techniques you can easily use straight away to make your next film look & feel professional using a well known technique called Tricking the camera (and the viewer).

I'll show you from raw footage all the way through to finished product what to look for when you are filming and simple techniques on how to turn your raw footage into gold when you are editing.

I am using Final Cut Pro 6 but the techniques are simple enough to use with any half decent editing program.

  • great job dude! if only people can refrain from negative comments and understand that this is a TUTORIAL! for people with one cam to make it look multicam, and believe me once completed not many viewers will notice that effect, but theres always one sad case who just wants to point fingers.

  • Thanks for the comment! Yes there are always those guys who are out to bag people. Usually I find that those people either have little or no content of their own on the site and are a little too cynical about it. But the good thing, is that there are a lot more decent YouTubers out there than not. So cheers to them!!! Thanks again mate. J

  • a pain in the butt to use 1 cam only. You wil always notice sme syncronicity prloblems.

  • It is always preferable to have more cameras however that is not always the case for many people. So I suppose I produced this video for those guys. With only 1 camera the edit is all about reducing synchronicity issues and telling a believable story. I really believe people who have a trained eye will always pick it however the general punter usually doesn't in my experience. Hope you got something from the tutorial. Thanks for the comment. JB

  • did u use final cut pro?
