Every year, across the U.S., hundreds of people are killed when their car goes under the rear or side of a tractor trailer. A safer design is available but trucking companies refuse to utilize it.

  • @Thesupersmith79 I'm so sick and tired of these moronic 4-wheelers always blaming truck drivers for everything while research proves that most accidents are caused by 4-wheelers not big rigs. How about keeping your following distance so when we have to break you don't end up underneath the trailer! May also save your life when a trailer tire blows and it won't go through your wind shield because you're running up our butts! Why do we always have to shell out money for 4-wheelers stupidity?

  • @1718Jordanthen you are lucky some dick-head did not pull out in front of you and chop your head off. But based upon your comment, i wish it would happen, then there would one less dick-head like you in this world.

It just shows how our lawmakers dont protect people, or even care about safety.

  • In canada some of the trailers have side portection

  • The government and public are ignoring the real hazard, poorly trained 4-wheelers and those not caring or paying attention. So when will we in the US get the protection from bad car drivers. Fact 33.000+ die in car accident every year.

  • no heres a tip[ learn to drive dumbass

  • Amercians, look at europe, we use the underride guard, side and behind the trailers. Used it, it saves lives. Became a rolemodel for the safety !

  • European laws are more strict than the US. i've heard even in cosmetic products made in US they use substances that are forbidden in Europe

  • I think the reason why European trucks have side gaurds is because there aren't very many railroad crossings in Europe. They are everywhere in the US. So, you put those side guards on trucks to protect motorists and now you have a shit ton of semi-trucks getting smashed to shit by trains because the trailors are getting stuck on the tracks.

  • 2:41 - Why don't we use em? Because YOU'LL GET STUCK IN THE DAMN TRAIN TRACKS!!! Try pulling a 53" trailer somewhere in Pennsylvania or in Kentucky AND SEE if you don't ding the rails with your ricer-spoilers!

  • I find it interesting that if a truck rear-ends a car, the truck is at fault. And if a car rear-ends a truck, the truck is still at fault. It would be nice and 1000’s would be saved if car drivers took responsibility for their own actions, stop blaming others and pay attention to the road.

  • @isilder how is that? trucks cant stop or accelerate like a car can, how is the driver at fault? the only way a truck driver is at fault is if he ran into oncoming traffic and your 99% is BS you got it wrong, 99% of the accidents is the 4 wheelers fault. we get into the fast lane to "move over" for police or tow trucks on the side of the road and you 4 wheelers pass us on the right, if you hit a state trooper in that move you know your going to jail for murder?????

  • umm cant drivers of cars start paying attention to the vehicles near them or that they are about to hit???????????????? What about trains, should trains have all this safety stuff too?????
