she was an innocent
and what they did to her was a cryin' assed shame

After Mick she was no longer innocent... Ciao!

Innocence is an act we all must master. I love Marianne, her old stuff and her modern interpretations of Kurt Weill (especially Mack the Knife), but to call her innocent would be a big mistake. I suggest a simple search of her name and the word "mars bar" on google search.

@kristoffmcewan Yep. Remember Redlands? Still, she looks innocent, which makes her all the more attractive.

I really adore the way she moves her eyes of beauty... Amazing! And her lips, oh, lips unforgettable!

bambi eyes.

She sure looks like everyone's high school sweetheart, doesn't she? Although her love life and last name didn't exactly match, Marianne did have five hits between 1964 and 1965, this being the first and biggest. Released as London 9897, it reached #22 over a nine week chart run. Perhaps inspired by the famous "Little Mermaid" statue in Copenhagen, this has to be the least animated stage performance I have ever seen. Fortunately later she did learn to move onstage and not play the wax figure. ;
