we always have been under grace, from Adam to today, under the old covenant the israelites would sacrifice sheep to atone for there sins, the sacrificial animal was symbolic of Christ, the new covenant does away with the sacrifical system, the book of hebrews will tell u that in particular chpt 9
Under the Old Covenant/Law of Moses no man could be made perfect because their was a remembrace of sin Heb. 10:3 Christ our precious Savior has given us a better covenant to be established in law of faith. Gal. 2:21, Gal. 5:4, 4:16
The Lord is gracious. The scriptures tells us He rains on the just and the unjust. Matt. 5:45. The Lord has done away with the Old Covenant which was "weak and beggarly" Gal. 4:9 and has established a better covenant Hebrew 8:6. The Lord has done away with the burnt offerings, tithes, sacrifices, etc. It is all still conditional we must be abide/walk in the commandments of the Lord and perfecting holiness in the fear of the Lord.
