Although Enoch is not an "inspired" book and not found in the Bible, it is quoted in the book of Jude. There is much we can learn from the non-canonical books from a perspective of historical record. Enoch is one of them in my opinion.

@pdderek you cannot 'distort' that the world today - (as prophecied).....is in a shit mess and getting worse.many things the bible said that sounded looney at one time are now being looked at seriously.....all these aliens/ufo's - are they the signs,spoken of in the last days? why are so many things all happening at the same time?

@pdderek yeah thats exactly what we call chinese whispers(dont know how it got called that as we live in scotland) but its a form of gossip one person says somthing and then it goes around a group or a load of people and its all distorted,but this wasnmt a game alot of people have been in fights and got into trouble cos people cant tell a story proparly,when it was all just gossip in the 1st place .but the worst is some people do it delibrately to blacken peoples name,,and the media call it spin

@reksub10 As kids we would sit in a circle and one person whispers a message into the person on his/her right's ear. You continue to whisper the message into the person next to you's ear until it comes back around the circle. The last person then announces what message they heard. Inevitably the message has changed completely from the original message. I think it's a proper illustration of how, even without knowing it, humans can distort messages or ideas from generation to generation.

Because that is what humans do. TRUTH, universal truth, may exist. But count on humans to twist, contort, bend, and color that truth into WHATEVER it is the current generation believes...
Humans are great at twisting ideas. Remember the Telephone Game in a circle as kids? The original message ALWAYS gets distorted.

I said the bible is a great HISTORY BOOK. And it is.
What that means to me is we can use it to examine the earliest of human times...which is important

@NANDO218 I used to be completely against the thought of Jesus Christ, and him being the Son of God for several years, but the more I learn and research, the more I see the reality of it. I got many good videos in my "Scripture, Religion, & History" playlist if you're interested. Once one gets past all of the intentional, (and non-intentional) lies out there, you will begin to see why He is the most detested figure in all of history. Once you get to know Him, everything falls into perspective.
